More info on the show:
The Guthrie presents My Father’s Bookshelf, a world premiere by Twin Cities theater makers Live Action Set. In collaboration with members of the Minnesota Alzheimer’s community, Live Action Set has created a tragic comedy about our collective response to dementia. In a world of doctors, care providers, lost memories and people who try to take away the car keys, one extremely affable, optimistic man with Alzheimer’s disease explores the joys of life, set against the struggles of his family and the passionate lecture of a neuroscientist.

As part of My Father’s Bookshelf audiences are invited to participate in post-show discussions with community members who live and work with Alzheimer’s.

I have been working with a talented ensemble of designers on the latest production by Sandbox Theatre- Kerry RIley, Laura Fulk and Andrew Lawrence Schiff- and I have to say that I am pretty excited about what this collaboration has produced.  Sculptural costumes with a flavor of our four distinct styles- quite a feat in itself.  Please be sure to make it to one of the performances.  I recommend this Friday!

Opening night party on November 7th:
$25 tickets include the show, appetizers and drinks.

All other nights, tickets are $18

For all show dates and times, check out the website at www.aboutthisplay.com.

All performances are at The Red Eye Theater
15 West 14th Street, Minneapolis

Good news from the Sandbox:
Stop by your local magazine stand and check out the good word being spread about us and HBMD.

Minnesota Monthly magazine just named Sandbox as one of five ‘up and coming’ theatres as part of their Best of the Cities edition.

And be sure to pick up this month’s edition of METRO Magazine and read an informative feature about Sandbox and HBMD on page 75.
